Adao, The Living Metal Boy
A downloadable game
Synopsis
A love letter to the classic Mega Man series, Adao, the Living Metal Boy takes place in the year 2067. A team of scientists develop a procedure to produce a next-generation series of robots. These machines promise to revolutionize countless sectors and will help restore the broken world. However, one member of the team, Dr Myopdite, fears the potential of the production lot. In secret, introduces a program to cause them to see humans as inferior, prompting the premier of these machines to turn into disaster as they launch a revolution against their human creators. The leaders of this rebellion are the eight best of the robots, the Vita Men. A young prototype unit, owned by the leader of the team, Dr Winston, Adao, steps forward to try and put a stop to the madness. His experimental nature rendered him immune to Myopdite’s alterations.
Run, jump and shoot your way through the eight domains of the Vita Men, defeating their forces and conquering their challenges before facing them in combat. Adao will replicate the powers of each fallen Vita Men which will aid him on his journey. Face them all to open the way to Dr Myopdite’s fortress and put a stop to his madness once and for all. Can Adao succeed or will Myopdite’s machinations prevail? It’s up to you and you alone!
Controls:
Adao’s inputs are modeled after an NES controller. Thus a limited number of inputs are used. They are as follows:
Escape: Quits the game. No menu (yet), namely to keep the feel of the NES.
1: Resets the game back to the intro. NOTE this isn't a save but a hard reset. Any progress that isn't saved will be lost.
W: Move up on ladders, move cursors up, aim up for certain weapons.
A: Move left in menus or in game, shoot left on ladders (hold A to shoot left).
S: Move down on ladders, move cursors down, aim down for certain weapons.
D: Move right in menus or in game, shoot right on ladders (hold D to shoot right).
L: Operates like SELECT. Can be used in conjunction with W or S to swap weapons without going into the menu.
F: Swaps between full screen and windowed screen. If there's a random issue where the screen won't refresh this will solve it.
Shift: Open weapon menu. In this menu, Shift will select the power. Operates like START on a controller.
Enter: Confirm in menu and fire selected weapon. For Adao’s standard Blaster, holding down will power up a charge shot.
Space: Jump. Operates like “B” in menus, moving back.
